Monophonic amplifiers are a reference for those looking for maximum reproduction quality combined with a very extensive dynamic reserve. ELEMENT 701 can supply powers up to 1800 Wrms on 2 ohms with distortions lower than 0.03%. a reference for the category. However, these data are not the result of the case but of careful design of each stage of the amplifier, which aimed to achieve the predetermined data. The power supply stage, the beating heart of the performance, is designed with extreme attention to detail and uses 2 toroidal transformers in parallel for a total of 2Kva. The transformers are resin and encapsulated, wound on low loss ferromagnetic cores. The interlaced windings and the materials used make the vibrations typical of large transformers void, all to the advantage of sound reproduction and environmental noise. The output stage provides as many as 16 pairs (32 transistors in total) of BJT Sanken able to withstand and supply continuous currents in the order of 350 A at 25 ° c. Translated into dynamic terms, we have an almost infinite reserve in addition to an extreme reliability in practically any condition of use. The technology of 701, however, is not only performance and extreme power but also and above all musicality of the highest level, as per EamLab tradition. The advantage of the monophonic amplification is immediately perceived due to the great separation between the channels, the stratospheric dynamics, the sound detail and the wide and three-dimensional sound stage. The amplifier is also equipped with a microcontroller protection system, very reliable and precise, which manages all operations from ignition to thermal protections and overcurrent. On the back there are 4 WBT output connectors for convenient Bi-wiring and 2 pairs of XLR / RCA input connectors that can also be used for parallel. The amplifiers are also equipped with a convenient Trigger IN / OUT command for automatic switching on from the source, eg. ELEMENT C201 preamplifier or source of another brand equipped with trigger command.

HDCA modules are placed on the rear panel directly attached to the input connectors soldered on PCBs without the use of shielded cables. A device that minimizes the signal path with consequent high levels of SN / R. The aluminum casing that encloses the powerful transformers acts as a base for the power supply filter PCB to which, without the use of wiring, the two rectifier bridges are welded. We have thus obtained a triple function. Maximize the passage of current, dissipate the heat produced by the rectifier bridges and shield the magnetic flux generated by the transformers. EamLab engineering has always allowed to build powerful and faithful products in reduced dimensions.

In this power amplifier we have gathered all the experience gained in the electroacoustic field in the course of
twenty years.
Power supply, output stages, preamplifying stages, components and protections are made in this
amplifier to provide excellent performance in any environment, condition, load.
600 Watts per channel on 4Ohm and 1000 on 2Ohm leave no doubt. ELEMENT 302 interfaces better with
the most demanding loudspeakers, providing unlimited power in every situation.
In this model a new philosophy of circuit approach has been adopted, starting from the supply stage up to the output stage. Without compromise,
without reservations. Like the microprocessor that controls the entire operation of all parameters
HDCAtm is the newly developed preamplifier stage designed and developed in the laboratories of
Eam Lab and literally means High Dynamic Current Amplifier that allows an amplification of the current signal before be subjected to the actual amplification Of the pilot stage, driver and output.

This stage is completely discrete components, is seen similar to an OpAmp and allows sonic superiority to amplify the current signal. The HDCA circuit has a bandwidth of 1Mhz, a distortion close to 0.00001%, linearity within 0.1db between 1hz and 250.000hz always guaranteeing a perfect interfacing with any source.
It's not all. HDCA is armored in an aluminum container and resined with special heat-coupled polymers. All this translates into an always perfect linear operation with temperatures ranging between -30 and + 150 ° c. to inexperienced eyes it may seem useless a job like that. it is essential to not allow the first stages of amplification of the signal, which are the most delicate and most frequent fluctuations due to external agents (AC, RF, vibrations), to «get dirty» and inevitably dirty the signal to be transmitted to the later stages . Thanks to the similar HDCA stadium no longer exist.

Feeding details

To guarantee an always high and clean output current, enormous transformers are needed. But the more transformers are bigger the more they tend to vibrate. ELEMENT 302 is equipped with 2 toroidal transformers of 1000VA each. We have solved the problem by resining the transformers in a non-magnetic container re-insulating the whole with a 3mm thick aluminum casing that protects sensitive amplification circuits

Attention to details

The aluminum casing also acts as a heat sink for the rectifying diodes, in this case 2, one per branch, capable of handling forward currents of over 500A each. All this power must obviously be dissipated.
In this case a radiant surface of over 80cm squared optimally dissipates and escapes every kind of problem.

Output current

The current that can be supplied is supplied by Sanken bipolar devices of the latest generation. ELEMENT 302 has 16 for each channel with current peaks that reach 272 Amper. The average can reach 140 constant amperes.
To ensure effective heat dissipation we opted for direct transistor / heatsink mounting without additional plates and the electrical insulation is given by a special military production mica that decreases the W / C ° ratio.

Protections

The importance of better protecting electronics and connected loads is of primary importance to us at Eam Lab. For this reason we have developed effective protections that do not alter the musical signal in any way. Specifically for this model, they have also been integrated by a microprocessor which increases its effectiveness and precision of intervention.

IDCL TM (Impedance Detecting & Current Limiting) it is a protection circuit that constantly monitors the output current of the power amplifiers comparing it with the load impedance. the IDCL circuit intervenes in case the output current should increase for various reasons. With this method it is possible to use ELEMENT302 even with impedance loads close to the short circuit without a slight mention of failure.
SVCSTM (Servo Controlled Current State) The imposing power of the amplifier must be treated appropriately and its management is entrusted to this circuit. The currents in play, often very high, are kept under control even when the amplifier is switched on to start working. To prolong the life of transformers and capacitors, the supply voltage is brought to full capacity only after a few seconds and not all at once. It goes from 30% to 100% in about 3 seconds from the ignition. In addition to this useful function the SVCS controls the power supplied by the transformer and limits its functioning only in case of excessive heat dissipation, lowering its efficiency gradually up to 70% of its capacity.

THLTM (Thermal Heat Limiting) The temperature of the final devices is managed by this circuit which always guarantees its correct functioning even in case of excessive thermal stress. The circuit intervenes when the temperature on the dissipators reaches the threshold of 75 ° c. and it makes sure to keep it stable within a tolerance of 10% by acting on micro-variations of the polarization of the final stages. The two LEDs on the front panel indicate the intervention of the THL circuit. this is a condition that occurs after a few hours of operation (in some cases after a few minutes, dependent on the connected load) and the amplifier in this condition can continuously work without the slightest problem for many hours.
ILP TM (Intelligent Lock Power) the ILP protection system encloses 3 different functions in a single circuit. detects any DC currents present on the final devices by blocking the outputs and disconnecting the connected load. in this regard, the task is entrusted to 2 30A relays with over 500,000 contact cycles. ILP is not a simple DC dector but a more complex system of protections able to detect every little variation of the continuous output voltage. even in the case of prolonged clipping, the circuit intervenes. Working in tandem with IDCL these two devices are able to guarantee unrivaled reliability for this amplifier.

For a long time, power has been the center of attention for quality amplifiers, followed by the factors of total harmonic distortion.
However, these isolated observations are not sufficient to explain the characteristics of a sound emitted by an amplifier.
Only a global vision that considers the real load of a diffuser leads to valid results. An ideal amplifier is
stable regardless of the load seen and must provide constant amplification with zero phase shifts on all frequencies.
This should be done without excessive signal paths or «tricks» that are often used in transistor technology such as excessive negative feedback and high gains or, worse, with the correction of the signal itself. These amplifiers are perfect for measuring benches but then, almost always, they behave when listening to valves worse.
The purpose of Eam Lab is to guarantee a very linear and fast amplification, without alterations, providing high delivery currents that can not be minimally realized with vacuum tubes.

The series Studio amplifier

EamLab Amplifiers enjoy universal recognition by both music lovers and professionals in the sector. As a result of an unrelenting passion for superb performance and unrivaled build quality, Eamlab is constantly evolving in the research and innovation of its products. Studio 501 is the evolution of a project created to drastically change the rules of sound reproduction in the home for high-definition systems Innovative circuitry and component evolution continue our tradition on the Studio 501 as well and are highlighted in this amplifier as very low distortion, reduced background noise and greater bandwidth, presenting listeners with a crystal clear window to their favorite recordings. HDCA patents and careful circuit design move the listener so close to the music with such visceral realism that the experience becomes comparable to the best live performances.

What defines «high performance»?

Reproduce exactly what is captured during recording without coloration and without adding distortion. Each Eamlab amplifier is uncompromisingly designed to achieve these lofty goals

What's new ?

Over the years, Eamlab engineering has used the greatest resources to design and innovate the circuitry by finding new methods to reduce noise and distortion to detect the smallest nuances ever • Eamlab amplifiers and studio 501 use significant improvements including: • • Less distortion in the input stages • • Drastic improvement of CMRR (common mode noise rejection) • • Greater improvement in EMI / RFI rejection • • Aesthetics with clean lines and «solid» finish

Extreme quality and detail

To find new methods to eliminate distortion, our circuits are designed with a new overview. Studio300 amplifiers are equipped with a patented input circuit optimized for linearity. Dodato of an array of discrete smd transistors is the first stage of the amplifier and provides the first gain of 6 db. The input stage has a transparent response and its measurable distortion is less than 0.0001%. This stage is armored and resin coated in a soft iron container and makes the amplifier practically immune to RFI noise and other induced environmental noises The quad-complent output of the HDCA stages is directly inserted into the input differentials in a balanced configuration and the output section is polarized to provide 70 Wrms in pure class A on an 8 ohm load. Each amplifier stage is completely independent and is powered separately. at Eamlab we strive for precision and transparency because this is what we believe is the best reproduction at all levels.
When in playback the system is faithful to the recording, the listener can enjoy the finer details, capturing the depth and soul of the performance as the artist intended.

Balanced philophy

Studio 501 comes in a balanced configuration from input to output. The signal arriving from the HDCA stages is brought to the input differentials of the amplification stages which manage the phase shift of the signals in a balanced configuration.

The new Studio 362 amplifier moves the sonic limit to an even higher level
The new circuit layout and the new highly selected components offer such high results that they push the "sound definition" feature even higher.
The new instrumentation components, the large power supply circuit and the high dumping factor ensure that the loudspeakers are clearly expressed to the limits of their capacities.

Characteristics of the power supply stage

the true heart of every amplifier. The extreme attention to this detail is essential for us.
Two transformers with separate windings and wound on a single core for a total power of 1,200 Va that feed the rectifier circuits mounted on a single PCB without flying wiring so as to allow a connection without contact resistances.
This design shortens the electrical path from the transformer to the final output stages by reducing overall impedance and allowing the circuit to respond faster by better controlling the speakers and more accurately.

Input signal processing

the most delicate, fundamental part to be treated with extreme care, because it is this stage that finally determines the overall performance of the appliance
this delicate task is entrusted to the HDCA modules that have reached their third version. Today even more refined, clear and transparent.
HDCA is assembled with components selected for their linearity and bandwidth characteristics. The circuit is operating in open loop and the feedback is so low that it becomes practically negligible.
The circuit is operating in pure class A and does not use decoupling capacitors through various stages of signal processing.

The pursuit of perfect amplification is a well-known theme in high-end audio. New technologies present new approaches, while looking to the past provides inspiration for the future.
It is with this spirit that we have developed the new STUDIO line, with a design recommended by the best tradition and with a specific target sound: deep and expansive stage, accurate image positioning, extended and defined bass response and total control over the speakers also at very low impedances
With these requisites well planted in our DNA, STUDIO 362 was born

Power section

EamLab Amplifiers enjoy universal recognition from both music lovers and industry professionals. As a consequence of a relentless passion for superb performance and unparalleled quality of construction, Eamlab is constantly evolving in the research and innovation of its products.
Studio300 is the evolution of a project born to drastically change the rules of sound reproduction in the professional field for recording and mastering and at the same time being the ideal «motor» even in the domestic environment for high definition systems.
The innovative circuits and the evolution of the components continue our tradition also on Studio 300 and we highlight in this amplifier as a very low distortion, a reduced background noise and a greater bandwidth presenting to the listeners a clear and crystalline window for their favorite recordings.
The HDCA patent and a careful circuit design move the listener so close to the music with such visceral realism where the experience is comparable to the best live performances.

What defines «high performance»?

Reproduce exactly what is captured during registration without coloring and without adding distortions. Each Eamlab amplifier is designed without compromise to achieve these high goals

What's new ?

Eamlab engineering over the years has used the greatest resources to design and innovate the circuits by finding new methods to reduce noise and distortion to detect the smallest nuances of ever
The Eamlab and studio300 amplifiers use significant improvements including:
* Drastic improvement of CMRR (common mode noise rejection)
* Better improvement in EMI / RFI waste
* Reduced consumption in music media thanks to an active polarization
* Aesthetics with clean lines and «solid» finish

To find a new ways to eliminate distortion our circuits are designed with a new overview. Studio300 amplifiers are equipped with a patented input circuit optimized on linearity.
One of the arrays of discrete transistors smd is the first stage of the amplifier and provides the first gain of 6 db. The input stage is so transparent and its measurable distortion is less than 0.0001%.
This stage is armored and resined in a soft iron container and makes the amplifier practically immune to RFI noise and other environmental induced noise
The balanced quad-compliant output mimics the characteristics of a class A design with dramatically lower distortion than conventional class AB on all frequencies.
Each amplifier channel is completely independent and is powered separately. in Eamlab we strive for precision and transparency because this is what sounds best.
When reproducing the system is faithful to the recording, the listener can enjoy the finer details, capturing the depth and soul of the performance as the artist intended it.

Unquestionable quality

Studio Amplifiers use innovative designs to achieve superior performance that remains constant over time.
Each amplifier is produced at the state of the art in our Milan office using many components of local origin. The members of our staff take with pride the whole realization of their highly specialized craftsmanship.
All Eamlab products are tested on the test bench for 50 hours before shipping. The amplifiers switch between maximum and minimum power with cycles of 15 minutes to discover any anomalies that could be introduced by thermal stress. Our reputation for reliability is unprecedented.
Not only are our amplifiers subjected to stringent testing, but everyone must achieve excellence in performanceTo demonstrate our commitment and the excellence of our products, every Eamlab product is guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a complete cycle of 20 years.

The Studio 162 amplifier was created to meet the new demands of sound reinforcement.
In this new model we wanted a high enough power able to drive without difficulty even demanding loads and at the same time a compact design and a captivating and functional aesthetics that has been made possible to fit into any environment without sacrificing dynamic quality and sonic performance .
The new instrumentation components, the large power supply circuit and the high dumping factor ensure that the loudspeakers are clearly expressed to the limits of their capacities.

Highlights

On a single Board there are the two amplification channels, the protection stage and the power circuit filter
This design allows you to shorten the electrical path from the transformer to the final output stages by reducing overall impedance and allowing the circuit to respond faster by better controlling the speakers and more accurately.
The energy that can be developed is entrusted to a 500 VA transformer capable of supplying all the power and dynamics required in any condition of use

The power stadium

revolves around a circuit design in cascode configuration. This configuration allows a wide and extended bandwidth and the driving of the power amplifiers takes place through a Darlington type configuration.
2 pairs per channel of bipolar MJL 3281 / MJL 1302 transistors ensure reliability and stability in any condition of use.
The new generation of circuits with SMD components allows shorter signal paths, greater rejection of disturbances and a significant reduction in «microphonic» due to vibrations
